I'm so excited to be partnering with Paramount Pictures to bring you a style expose on the anticipated new Star Trek movie, 'Star Trek Beyond'. I paired up with a great local boutique in Tremont called Banyan Tree, who graciously let me takeover and choose some amazing pieces that have a futuristic feel to them. I styled 10 looks inspired from 'Star Trek Beyond' and the cool, fresh and funky vibes I get from this awesome and classic franchise. If you haven't checked out Banyan Tree yet, get there fast for great local love, gifts, home decor, jewelry, accessories and a large selection of fashionable, trendy and chic clothing.
When looking for the clothing, I immediately imagined actress Zoe Saldana who plays one of the main character's in the film, Lieutenant Uhura. Her character's fashion in the movie is sleek, tight, minimalist, modern and clean. I also gained inspiration from her red carpet styles for movie premiers and how she has rocked dresses from Balmain, Versace and Roland Mouret in the past with sharp lines, clean silhouettes, and great shape. So with all the great pieces at Banyan Tree, I imagined the following looks that can go from doing homework at the local coffee shop, to a fancy alien-wedding dinner party aboard the Enterprise.
